President of the Republic’s message on International Women's Day

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message on Friday to mark the International Women's Day (March 8th), translated by APS:
"In the name of Allah, the Clement and Merciful,
May the blessings and peace of Allah be upon His Messenger,
The Algerian women celebrate the International Women's Day (March 08th), at a time when they are fulfilling, with outstanding skills and peerless qualifications, their aspirations as workers in all fields and areas and as executives in leadership and management positions within the State’s institutions and bodies.
They also prove their merit through their success in entrepreneurship and demonstrate their commitment to public affairs, by being at the forefront of the civil society and associative action, showcasing their talents for enhancing performance and serving society.
Alongside men, they equally contribute to Algeria’s rebirth.
Algerian women celebrate their International Day in a determined Algeria, poised for comprehensive renewal. They draw their challenging and victorious spirit from the struggles of courageous female resistance fighters, whose journeys and achievements in defending the homeland remain forever etched in memory.
On this International Women's Day, with its symbolism of human emancipation, Algerian women proudly remember the struggles of their countrywomen who sacrificed themselves during the glorious Liberation Revolution. These women provided timeless examples of courage and sacrifice, becoming models among militant fighters and female freedom fighters who placed Algeria's honor and dignity above all else, making the fight for independence the noblest quest and most precious goal.
From the first female martyrs of the Popular Resistance and the glorious Liberation Revolution, such as Lalla Fatma N'Soumer and Dzair Chaib, to militant martyr Malika Gaid, revolutionary icon Hassiba Ben Bouali, and the heroic Djamilates: Bouazza, Bouhired, Boupacha, and Toubal, to the oath-keeping freedom fighters Zohra Drif Bitat, Louisa Ighilahriz, and their sisters throughout Algeria's glorious cities and villages, may Allah grant them long life.
We seize this opportunity to express our best wishes to Algerian women on the occasion of the International Women’s Day and reaffirm our continuous commitment to strengthening the position of women within society and to enable them to hold senior leadership positions, in order that Algeria, faithful to its authenticity, moves towards modernity, sustainable development and comprehensive revival thanks to its devoted children.
Long live Algeria,
Glory and eternity to our valiant martyrs,
May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.”
